Refunds policy

Our 14 day no-quibble guarantee
Our 14-day returns guarantee means that if for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase you can return it to us in resalable condition within 14 days of the date you received the item, and we will issue a full refund for the price you paid.

How our refund policy works:
Once an item is returned for refund we will check that it is in original condition before confirming acceptance for full refund. We will then refund in by cheque or in the same form of payment originally used for purchase within seven working days.

If the refund does not appear on you next credit card/bank statement or you do not receive a cheque please email us at info@booksdirectlimited.com for further assistance.

If you are returning an item because of an error on our part or because it is damaged or defective, we will additionally be happy to refund the delivery charges incurred in sending the item.

Please note that we extend the seven day legal right of EU customers to withdraw from any purchase to our full 14 days (which starts on the date the item is delivered).

Where you are withdrawing from a purchase within the 14-day period, and there has been an error on our part, we will refund the cost of the item and the cost of sending the item as charged. If the item is one of two or more items it will be refunded as a proportion of the total cost of postage for the order. Where the returned item qualified an order for free postage we reserve the right to deduct the cost of postage that would have applied, before refunding the returned item.

Where an item is returned that is not damaged and there has been no error on our part, we will refund only the cost of the item. We will not refund the cost of delivery.

Please note that refunds can only be made to the original purchaser.

Please also note that our refunds policy does not affect your statutory rights.
